Folkestone Puppets 2020 - Watch, Share & Grow
After having to cancel our annual festival, we are pleased to announce that Folkestone Puppets has been awarded an Arts Council emergency fund to develop the organisation and create an online puppet TV channel.
The channel will have a monthly broadcast (for 6 months) of the programme 'The Shopkeeper' followed by films and activities from different artists. 'The Shopkeeper' is set in a corner shop where the owner and local residents discuss politics and issues of the moment, offer medical advice and interview the artists presenting films & activities each month.
We are now looking to support a series of artists by commissioning new work and activities created for the channel, and present puppet films that have already been made. All themes welcomed and work does not have to be for children.
We are looking for:
. 1 artist to create a new piece of work to be broadcast on the channel. The work can be on any suitable format, address any subject and be between 5min to an 1 hour (£1000 fee).
. 6 puppet based films (£200 each).
. 4 activities for audiences to do at home, this can be puppet making, performance based or anything else for any age! We are open. (£200 each)
Please send us an email with (email@example.com):
